Killing of two Israeli officers and serious injury of 3 in battles south of the Gaza Strip

The Israeli army announced today, Monday, the death of two officers and the injury of two other officers and a soldier with serious wounds, in battles south of the Gaza Strip.
According to the Israeli army website, Brigadier General Adi Aldur, 21 years old from Haifa, a fighter in the Maglan unit, the commando brigade, and Lieutenant Colonel (reservist) Alon Kleinman, 21 years old from Tel Aviv, a reservist fighter in the Maglan unit, the commando brigade, were killed in battles south of the Gaza Strip.

The "Walla" site said that the two officers were killed by anti-tank shelling west of Khan Younis.

In addition, two other officers and a soldier from the Maglan unit were seriously wounded in the battle south of the Gaza Strip.

Thus, the total number of Israeli army casualties since the start of the ground military operation in the strip on October 27 has risen to 229, and since October 7 to 566.

The war in the Gaza Strip entered its 129th day amid intense shelling and clashes in the southern city of Rafah, and Israeli media reported that the Israeli army "is suffering from a difficult situation in Khan Younis after being subjected to a very large ambush".
