The player "Alistair Johnston" is seeking to set a record with the Canadian men's national team, in case he participates in the friendly match against the Bahrain national team, which will be held at Al Khalifa Stadium in Manama, next Friday.

The professional player at FC Montreal holds a distinguished record in the number of appearances with Canada, represented by playing for the national team in "26 consecutive matches," surpassing the record of the former player "Bruce Wilson," who played a total of "27 consecutive matches" during 1984-1986, when Canada qualified for the World Cup for the first time in its football history.

It is noteworthy that "Johnston" surpassed the last player who held the record, the former Canadian captain "Paul Stalteri," when he played "25 consecutive matches" between 1998-2000, but "Stalteri" was unable to break the number of matches registered under the player "Wilson."

It is mentioned that the first official match for the international defender "Johnston" was in the World Cup qualifiers against the Bermuda national team in 2021, which ended with the Canadian team winning five to one.
