Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant warned that Iran is currently constructing an airport in Qalaat Jbour in Lebanon, about 20 kilometers from the border with Israel, which will be used for terrorist purposes.
Gallant stated, during a speech on Monday evening at a conference of the Institute for Counter-Terrorism at Reichman University, that "we may see in the images the Iranian flag waving over the flight paths that the Ayatollah regime plans to operate from against the citizens of Israel."
The Defense Minister added, "In the conflict, we will not hesitate to use the deadly force of the Israeli army, and according to him, Hezbollah and Lebanon will pay a heavy and painful price for supporting Iran's plans."
Gallant emphasized that Iran is operating in Lebanon, Syria, Gaza, and the West Bank, and even along the Jordanian-Iraqi border to control the countries in the region, warning that if we reach an engagement on the northern border, "Hezbollah and Lebanon will pay a hefty price."
Gallant also addressed the coup legislation, warning that "the continuation of internal conflict endangers the Israeli army."
