The Canadian police announced the crime statistics for 2021, which show a noticeable increase in the number of crimes against Muslims during the past year. The report confirms that assaults on Muslims increased by 71% during the past year compared to 2020.
The National Council of Canadian Muslims commented on the Canadian police report: "Last year, there was a significant increase in hate against Muslims according to official Canadian census figures... We lost Canadian Muslims due to hate in 2021, but these numbers do not tell the whole story. We know that the number of victims far exceeds what appears in police statistics...".
