The "Popular Mobilization Forces" announced today, Sunday, the arrest of an armed member of the "ISIS" group named "Saddam Hussein", during a security operation southwest of Kirkuk, 240 km north of the capital Baghdad.
The war media for the "Imams' Forces", part of the mobilization, stated in a statement posted on their "Facebook" page that following intelligence information, "ISIS member Saddam Hussein Saleh Al-Hamdouni was arrested on July 25, 2019, by the intelligence of the Imams' Forces and the second commando regiment in the Al-Multaqa area of Mulla Abdullah southwest of Kirkuk."
The statement indicated that Al-Hamdouni is a resident of Mosul, the right bank, and works in the "ISIS Information Brigade", adding that he is "the cousin of the ISIS member Abu Lyth Al-Ansari, the Wali of Mosul in 2014."
The war media for the "Imams' Forces" noted that Al-Hamdouni was handed over to the relevant authorities.
