31 deaths, 72 hospital admissions
These 31 new deaths reported last Tuesday bring the seven-day average to 14. The trend increases by 33% over one week.
Authorities also reported 2,615 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the daily rate to 2,879. Thus, the trend rises by 39% over one week. However, these numbers likely represent only a portion of total infections, due to limited access to Polymerase Chain Reaction testing.
Public health conducted 15,540 PCR screening tests on Sunday, a relatively stable number compared to the weekly average.
So far, nearly 151,800 rapid tests have been reported on the Ministry of Health and Social Services (MSSS) platform, of which more than 122,140 provided a positive diagnosis for the virus.
