Injury of a person in a head-on collision between two cars on Highway 401 near Milton

The Ontario Provincial Police said a driver was traveling the wrong way on Highway 401 near Milton this morning was arrested after a head-on collision that resulted in one person suffering serious injuries.

The police stated that the accident occurred in the westbound lanes of the highway near Guelph Line.

According to the police, the driver was going the wrong way on the highway when they collided with another vehicle, and the driver of the other car was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The police said that the wrong-way driver was arrested on suspicion of reckless driving, and the westbound lanes of the highway at Guelph Line were closed for several hours but all lanes have since reopened.
