According to Canadian statistics, the slowdown in the inflation rate for the year 2022 from 8.1% to 7.6% is attributed to the slowdown in the growth of gasoline prices which, excluding it, prices have increased by 6.6% after being 6.5% last June. This is considered the seventh consecutive monthly increase. Prices of other non-durable goods such as natural gas and grocery stores continued to rise alongside tourism and hotel services, according to reports from the Canadian Statistics Authority, which itself emphasized the necessity of reviewing prices to align with the needs of the Canadian citizen.
