Two senior officials at the European Central Bank warned on Friday that economic activity in the Eurozone could slip into recession in 2023 amid the ongoing war in Ukraine.
European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde stated in a speech before the International Monetary and Financial Committee, the IMF’s policy body, that "growth prospects are basically heading downward, especially due to the economic consequences of the war in Ukraine."
