Prince Edward Island reported three new COVID-19 related deaths in its weekly update.
The province says the deaths include: one person aged between 60 and 79, two persons aged 80 years old.
All three deaths occurred in August, but were not previously reported due to delays in death data collection and reporting.
So far, P.E.I. has reported 60 deaths related to the novel coronavirus.
Hospitals reported to the province an increase in the number of people hospitalized due to the virus.
As of Tuesday, there were 19 people in island hospitals infected with COVID-19, compared to 15 people the previous week.
Among those in hospital, four were admitted due to the virus, and 15 for other reasons.
One person is being treated in intensive care. So far, the province says most people who needed hospitalization - 42.1 percent - were in their sixties and seventies.
