The Houthi group in Yemen announced today, Monday, the targeting of a British ship in the Gulf of Aden with a large number of naval missiles, and the downing of an American drone in Al Hudaydah.

The official spokesperson for the Houthis, Yahya Saree, said in a press statement posted on his account on the "X" platform today that "the naval forces of the Yemeni Armed Forces carried out a qualitative military operation, targeting the British ship (Rabimar) in the Gulf of Aden with a number of appropriate naval missiles."

He pointed out that "the ship was seriously hit, leading to its complete stop," explaining that "due to the severe damage the ship sustained, it is now at risk of sinking in the Gulf of Aden," affirming their keenness during the operation on the safe exit of the ship's crew.

The spokesperson revealed that "Yemeni air defenses in the city of Al Hudaydah managed to shoot down an American MQ-9 aircraft with an appropriate missile during its hostile missions against our country on behalf of the Zionist entity."

He confirmed that "the Yemeni Armed Forces will not hesitate to take further military measures and carry out more qualitative operations against all hostile targets in defense of dear Yemen and in affirmation of the supportive position for the Palestinian people."

He stressed that "the operations of the Yemeni armed forces in the Red and Arabian Seas will not stop until the aggression ceases and the siege on the Gaza Strip is lifted."
