The Houthi group said that its naval forces carried out two military operations in the Red Sea; the first targeted an American ship (Star nasia ستار ناسيا), and the other targeted a British ship (Morning Tide مورنينج تايد).
The group's spokesperson Yahya Sari'i pointed out in a statement on his official page on the "X" platform, on Tuesday morning, that "the two ships were targeted with appropriate naval missiles," noting that "the hits were precise and direct."
He announced "the execution of more qualitative military operations against all American and British hostile targets in the Red and Arabian Seas, as part of the legitimate right to respond to aggression and in defense of dear Yemen and its struggling people," according to the statement.
He confirmed "the continuation of the Houthis' military operations in the Red and Arabian Seas against Israeli navigation or those heading to the occupied Palestinian ports, until the siege is lifted and the aggression against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip stops."
Since last November, the Houthi group has been conducting military operations in the Red Sea, Bab al-Mandab, and the Gulf of Aden; claiming to target Israeli ships or those heading to Israel, following the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip since last October.
Earlier, a Houthi security source reported that "the American-British aggression launched raids today, Tuesday, on Sa’ada," according to his expression.
The source explained to the Yemen News Agency "Saba," affiliated with the Houthis, that the American-British aggression targeted eastern Sa’ada city with three raids.
The United States and Britain target Houthi sites, in response to its attacks in the Red Sea which threaten international navigation and are considered a danger to international navigation and have caused many losses.
