The coordinator of the left bloc in the French parliament, Manuel Bompard, criticized President Emmanuel Macron's speech regarding France's proposed participation in the international coalition against "ISIS" and against "Hamas" as well.

Bompard said: "Today, Macron suggests that France go to war against Hamas. What does this mean? French bombing in Gaza? French soldiers operating on the ground? And when? No, it is a dangerous improvisation."

He also added that contrary to what Macron stated, France should carry the voice of peace.

Earlier today, Tuesday, the French president said at a press conference: "We, like you, have suffered from terrorism, you are not alone, so I tell you that France is ready to participate in the international coalition against ISIS, in which we are active in Iraq and Syria, it can also participate in combating Hamas. I will speak with our allies as we discussed today to build a regional and global coalition to combat the terrorism that threatens us all."

The French president also called on "Hezbollah, Iran, and the Houthis in Yemen not to recklessly take risks by opening new fronts."
