Williams announced that Nicholas Latifi will leave the team at the end of 2022 - when his current contract expires - after three seasons with the Grove team.

After several free practice sessions, Williams handed Latifi his first Formula 1 race debut in 2020, where the Canadian started and has scored seven points so far. Williams announced on Friday that the season finale in Abu Dhabi will be his last race with the team. Latifi said: "I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone at Williams Racing - all the people and those I have worked with - over the past three years. My Formula One debut was delayed due to the pandemic, but we finally started in Austria, and although we did not achieve the results we hoped for together, it was a wonderful journey, with scoring those first points in Hungary last year being a moment I will never forget. I will move on to the next chapter of my career with special memories of my time with this dedicated team, and I know none of us will stop giving our best effort until the end of the season."

Latifi's final race with Williams will be the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in November, with Williams saying they will announce who will join Alex Albon in the 2023 lineup "in due course."
