The Arish Marine Port received the French floating hospital designated for treating the wounded of the Gaza Strip, in the presence of the Egyptian and Palestinian Ministers of Health and a high-level French delegation.
The Governor of North Sinai stated that the ship "Dixmude" is of the Mistral class and is a floating hospital with a capacity of 40 beds, including 25 inpatient beds, 15 intermediate care beds, 5 pediatric intensive care beds, two equipped operating rooms, and 20 French doctors.
The governor added that a number of Palestinian wounded will be transferred for treatment in the French hospital, according to coordination between the Egyptian and Palestinian Ministries of Health and the French delegation, confirming the provision of all support and cooperation to carry out the humanitarian mission that the delegation will undertake in treating the Palestinian wounded.
The Minister of Health also pointed out the allocation of more than 150 fully equipped ambulances at the Rafah crossing to provide medical services to those crossing from the Gaza Strip to Egypt.
