Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, was keen to send a message to the winner and participants in the finals of the 22nd edition of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, which concluded today, Sunday, in Qatar.  

Sheikh Tamim wrote a "tweet" on his account on "Twitter" saying: "I congratulate the Argentine team on their victory in the Qatar 2022 World Cup, and the French team for being the runner-up of the tournament. I thank all the teams for their wonderful play, and the fans who enthusiastically supported them. With the conclusion, we have fulfilled our promise to organize an exceptional tournament from the Arab world, which provided an opportunity for the peoples of the world to learn about the richness of our culture and the authenticity of our values."

The curtain was drawn on the Qatar 2022 World Cup, with the Argentine team being crowned the 2022 World Cup champion, at the expense of their French counterpart by penalty kicks (4-2), after they drew in the final match of the tournament (3-3), at "Lusail" Stadium.
