Behind the powerful earthquake that struck "Morocco," there are 5 victims in the Ait Tamlil community in the Azilal province, according to local Moroccan sources this morning, Saturday.
A responsible source mentioned that the victims are from one family in the Tofghin neighborhood of the aforementioned community, suggesting the possibility of an increase in the number of victims considering the number of cases admitted to the Demnat hospital.
A source from Demnat reported that the number of victims has risen to nine, according to a medical source from the Demnat hospital.
On another note, health authorities in Morocco announced an increase in the number of COVID-19 cases over the past four weeks, and the Ministry of Health stated yesterday that 309 new cases were recorded without any fatalities.
The authorities mentioned that these figures being announced are based on the total number of "COVID" tests conducted on individuals at various centers and laboratories.
For his part, researcher in health policies and systems, Tayeb Hamdi, stated that the announced figures are not accurate because the number of individuals undergoing testing is low, but this does not prevent the tracking of these tests from clearly showing an increase in cases.
Hamdi stated that Morocco has recorded "zero deaths" for many months, and the same was the case for serious cases until the week before last when one serious case was recorded, indicating that there is no threat to the health system.
