Pearson International Airport announced the second disappearance of a flight attendant belonging to the national Pakistani airline, after landing in Mississauga, marking the second disappearance of flight attendants within several months.

The identity of the missing flight attendant was revealed as Maryam Reza, a member of the crew of flight PK782 which recently departed
from Islamabad International Airport to Pearson International Airport. She completely disappeared after the flight, and a note was found in her hotel room written in her Urdu language: “شكرية بيا”, which means "Thank you, sir."

The return flight from Pearson to Karachi did not include her, and the flight crew had to return to Pakistan without the missing flight attendant.

The Pakistani airline blamed Canada's liberal asylum policy for the repeated disappearances of flight attendants. The airline had taken measures to reduce this issue by raising the minimum age for flight attendants traveling to Canada.

It is noteworthy that Abdullah Hafeez Khan, the official spokesperson for the Pakistani airline, stated that the Pakistani airline will form a task force to investigate the repeated disappearances of their flight attendants.

Khan confirmed that the missing flight attendants will face stricter measures at the administrative level and will face stringent legal actions if they return to Pakistan.
