The Saudi national team fell, on Saturday, by two clean goals against Poland in the second round of the group stage in the Qatar World Cup at the Education City Stadium.

In the 39th minute, Polish player Piotr Zieliński completed a ball from Robert Lewandowski into the top of the Saudi goal.

After referring to VAR, the referee awarded a penalty to Saudi Arabia in the 45th minute, taken by Salem Al-Dawsari, but goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny saved it in two stages.

Lewy took advantage of a mistake by Saudi midfielder Abdul Ilah Al-Malki, stole the ball from him, and scored into Mohammed Al-Owais' net, marking the second goal for the Poles and his first goal in his World Cup history.

Poland's points rose to 4 at the top of the group temporarily, while the Saudi Green Falcons' points remained at 3 from the big win against Argentina, who face Mexico on Saturday evening.

The Saudi national team's chances of qualifying for the second round remain alive in the last match against Mexico next Wednesday.
