Two people were killed and nine others injured in a truck ramming incident yesterday, Monday, in the city of Amqui in Quebec, according to police.
The spokesperson for the Quebec police, Hélène Saint-Pierre, told Agence France-Presse that a 38-year-old man was arrested at the scene, explaining that an investigation is underway to uncover the circumstances of the tragedy and determine whether the motives were intentional.
She added: "Everything indicates that this was an isolated act. There is no further danger in the area, and there is likely one suspect."
