Deutsche Post profits and revenues decline in the last quarter

German postal and logistics services company Deutsche Post (DHL Group) announced today, Wednesday, a decline in its net profit during the last quarter of last year by 26.5% annually to 981 million euros compared to 1.34 billion euros during the last quarter of 2022.

Basic earnings per share during the last quarter reached 0.83 euros, down 25.2% from the previous year when it was 1.11 euros per share.

Operating profit before taxes and interest also declined by 14.6% annually to 1.64 billion euros compared to 1.92 billion euros during the last quarter of 2022.

The German company stated that its quarterly revenues declined by 10.2% annually to 21.35 billion euros compared to 23.78 billion euros in the last quarter of the year before last.

At the same time, the company said that the Management and Supervisory Boards intend to propose distributing cash dividends of 1.85 euros per share for the past year as a whole, the same level of dividends as the previous year. Shareholders will vote on the proposal during their general assembly scheduled for May 3.

The company also announced the extension of the ongoing share buyback program for the current year to 2025, with an increase in its value by one billion euros to reach 4 billion euros.

Regarding the outlook for the current fiscal year's results, DHL Group said it expects operating profits to range between 6 billion and 6.6 billion euros compared to 6.3 billion euros last year.
