Costco announced the availability of several jobs in its stores across Canada with an average wage of more than $29 per hour.

These are Costco jobs in warehouses and business centers available nationwide.

Jobs can also be found in food sections at retailers, including cake designer, baker and bakery packer, food service assistant, meat cutter, and ready food service clerk.

Costco hires cashier assistants, electronics sales assistants, and member service assistants.

There are also jobs for marketing representatives, delivery drivers, and truck drivers.

Since many Costco locations in Canada have gas stations, tire service centers, pharmacies, and vision and hearing departments, you can find jobs in those specialized areas.

Most Costco warehouse and business center jobs do not require a university degree.

In 2023, Sharek Pierre Reil, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Costco Wholesale International, said: "Our starting hourly wage is $17.50, which is higher than the minimum wage in the provinces where we operate and is regularly re-evaluated."

The Costco executive also revealed that the average hourly wage was $27.63 in 2019 but rose to $29.76 per hour in 2023, and the company believes this is one of the highest retail wages in Canada."

Reil said: To give you an idea of what that means in terms of annual wages, a cashier who worked full-time at Costco for six years earns more than $70,000 annually."
