The Israeli bombing of Gaza continues, following a military operation launched by the occupation army against the "Islamic Jihad" movement in the sector, while the "Al-Quds Brigades," the military wing of the movement, responds with rockets towards Israel.
The occupation army said today, Saturday, August 6, 2022, that it targeted a cell belonging to the Islamic Jihad movement in the Gaza Strip, which was on its way to launch mortar shells towards settlements around the sector.
News sources reported the death of a Palestinian today, Saturday, due to renewed shelling on Khan Yunis city in the southern Gaza Strip.
The occupation army also announced the arrest of 19 elements from the Islamic Jihad movement in the West Bank, while carrying out strikes on military targets in Gaza.
A statement from the army said that soldiers and members of the internal security apparatus "Shin Bet" arrested 20 people during raids early Saturday morning in the West Bank.
On the other hand, the sound of sirens was heard in settlements around Gaza after a new batch of rockets was fired from the sector.
