China warns of a humanitarian disaster in Rafah and calls on Israel to stop its military operation

China called on Israel to stop its military operation in the city of Rafah "as soon as possible," warning of a "humanitarian disaster" if the fighting continues.

A spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry said in a press statement today, Tuesday, reported by the Palestinian news agency "Wafa," that China is closely monitoring the situation in the Rafah area and opposes and condemns actions that harm civilians and violate international law.

The Israeli occupation forces continue their aggression by land, sea, and air on the Gaza Strip since October 7, resulting in the martyrdom of 28,340 citizens, and injuring 67,984, in addition to thousands missing under the rubble.
