A new secret report from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police revealed difficult challenges that Canada will face in the future, including climate change, global economic recession, and misinformation.

The report was later published and is no longer secret, having been published in 2023.
The report’s forecasts point to an upcoming recession period that will accelerate the decline in living standards experienced by younger generations compared to previous generations.
It is expected that it will not be easy for many Canadians under the age of 35 to buy a home.
The report also mentioned that the repercussions of this decline in living standards will increase because the wealth gap is now greater in developed countries than it was several generations ago.
The report warned that law enforcement agencies must expect that the nature of this turbulent and destructive weather will affect all aspects of government, including damage to critical infrastructure and increased pressures to concede Arctic lands, as well as continued social and political polarization fueled by misinformation campaigns and growing distrust in all democratic institutions.
The report pointed to the challenges accompanying modern technology.
