Taylor Wenczkowski scored at 11:44 of the third overtime to give Boston a 2-1 victory over Montreal on Saturday in the second game of the Professional Women's Hockey League semifinal series.

Boston also won 2-1 in overtime in the first game on Thursday evening in Laval, Quebec. The third game of the best-of-five series will take place Tuesday night in Boston.

Wenczkowski said, "I was so happy to finish it off and head back to Boston with two wins. There was a lot of hockey. It’s tough, especially physically, but I'm very proud of the girls for reaching the top."

Amanda Biley opened the scoring for Boston at 6:48 of the first period. Kristen O'Neill tied it on a power play at 1:58 of the second.

Boston killed a five-minute power play in the first period after Lexi Adzija received a penalty for attempting injury.

Boston coach Courtney Kessel said they expected a tough series against Montreal.

"We knew this would happen with Montreal. I think we fought [Montreal] all year and what an incredible effort by every athlete out there.

"It takes a lot to play two hockey games and fortunately we came out on the better side of that."

Anne-Renee Debien stopped 50 shots for Montreal, while defenseman Erin Ambrose played 61:33.

It appeared that Montreal had scored a goal with 30 seconds left in the game, but the goal came after the whistle had blown for a stoppage in play.

Montreal forward Laura Stacey said her team will regroup for the third game by focusing on the good things they did and continuing to do them.

Stacey said, "It’s painful because we wanted to win for the other players on the team, for the coaching staff, and for the fans who supported us all season long."   "We’re heading to Boston to get that win."
