The famous model of Palestinian descent, Bella Hadid, published a clip from the interview conducted by the far-right Israeli Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben Gvir, with Channel 12 Israel, in which he claimed that "his right to freedom of movement as a Jewish settler in the West Bank outweighs that of the Palestinians themselves."

The model shared the clip with her 59.5 million followers on social media, accusing Ben Gvir of racism, and Bella commented on the video saying: "There should be no justification in 2023 or at any other time, where one person's life is considered more important than another's because of their origins, culture, or preferences."

This prompted Ben Gvir to attack Hadid, calling her "an enemy of Israel," as the Israeli minister wrote on "X" (formerly Twitter): "To the enemy of Israel, I saw yesterday that you took a clip from my interview and shared it with the whole world to show that I am racist and hateful," expressing his anger at what Bella Hadid posted.

Ben Gvir continued: "I will say it a thousand times and I will not apologize, my right and the right of my Jewish colleagues to travel and return to their homes safely on the roads of the West Bank is the most important."
