Australia's national team captain Sam Kerr said she will be ready to return from injury in time for her country's crucial match against Canada in the Women's World Cup.
Kerr suffered a calf injury, causing her to miss Australia’s first match against Ireland and the second match, which the team lost 2-3 to Nigeria.
Kerr, the all-time leading scorer for the Australian team with 63 goals in 121 matches, will be ready for Monday's match, as she confirmed in a press conference.
She added, "I feel good, I was on the field today, I'm fine."
Kerr declined to discuss when she would play in the match or her role in it, but she confirmed her readiness to play.
Kerr said, "I will definitely be there for the match, but we won’t reveal our secrets to the opponent."
She added, "I wish I could tell you everything, but that will remain up in the air until the end."
Australia needs to win against Canada to avoid being eliminated from the group stage for the first time since 2003.
