The head of the National Security Council of the occupying entity, Tzachi Hanegbi, confirmed that the issue of the prisoners held in Gaza is a top priority for them, including in discussions related to humanitarian assistance.
Hanegbi stated today, Tuesday, that the issue of the prisoners is "an essential part of any discussion regarding humanitarian assistance." However, he did not confirm or deny the existence of any talks or negotiations for their release.
He also added that Hamas is trying to prevent the residents of Gaza from evacuating south because they want to use them "as human shields," according to his claim.
The official thanked U.S. President Joe Biden for his anticipated brief visit tomorrow "to be with them in difficult times," as well as for the ongoing U.S. assurances that it will provide the occupying entity with all the necessary assistance.
Hanegbi also warned that "the occupying army will kill every member of Hamas who participated in the attack that occurred in the southern region on October 7."
