French media reports revealed today, Tuesday, that Real Madrid is planning to sign a striker from the German league to strengthen the attacking line of the Merengue, as the team is facing difficulties offensively this season following the departure of Frenchman Karim Benzema to Al-Ittihad last summer.
French media confirmed that Real Madrid is monitoring Youssoufa Moukoko, the star of Borussia Dortmund, in anticipation of signing him this season.
They added that the deal could be concluded next January, for a fee ranging from 30 to 40 million euros.
Furthermore, Moukoko is also attracting interest from Liverpool, Chelsea, Juventus, and Barcelona, and Madrid is resistant to the idea of entering a bidding war to finalize the deal.
It was clarified that Moukoko is one of the alternatives presented to president Florentino Pérez, but the latter has not made a final decision regarding signing a new striker in 2024.
Italian Carlo Ancelotti, the coach of Real Madrid, fell in his first strong test in La Liga this season, after losing to Atlético 1-3 in the Madrid derby during the sixth round of the competition at the "Cívitas Metropolitano" Stadium.
The Spanish newspaper "Marca" revealed the mistakes made by Ancelotti that led to the royal team's deserved loss against their neighbor Atlético Madrid with a score of 1-3 at the Estadio Metropolitano.
The newspaper confirmed that Ancelotti's first mistake in the derby was starting the match without player number (9), in addition to changing the style of play of the Merengue and relying on the duo Toni Kroos and Luka Modrić in midfield while keeping Tchouaméni on the bench.
The newspaper also revealed the overwhelming anger of Carlo Ancelotti after the mistakes he made, which caused the loss against Atlético and the loss of the top spot in the Spanish league table, allowing Barcelona to rise to the top.
Media reports have confirmed that Florentino Pérez, the president of Real Madrid, has settled on Xabi Alonso, the coach of Bayer Leverkusen, to succeed Ancelotti in the managerial position of the Merengue.
It is worth noting that Barcelona has topped the Spanish league standings with 16 points, ahead on goal difference from Girona, who is in second place, while Real Madrid is in third place with 15 points.
