Media reports have indicated that the Canadian border guards found 63 kilograms of cocaine in a truck attempting to enter the United States from North Dakota, according to the "Associated Press."
The border guards decided in mid-July to inspect the truck at a checkpoint in southern Manitoba on the border with North Dakota in the United States. It turned out that the 31-year-old driver was transporting 63 kilograms of cocaine, and a knowledgeable source confirmed that the drug shipment, estimated to be worth around $6 million, is considered the largest in the past five years in this area.
The agency noted that the detainee was later released on drug trafficking charges.
