The York Regional Police said it issued a warrant of arrest across Canada and a man wanted in connection with a fatal shooting at a nightclub in the city of Vaughan. Police say Kensworth Alton Francis, 27 years old, faces two counts of first-degree murder and one count of attempted murder, resulting from the shooting. They say he lives in Mississauga but they believe he is from the Bahamas, where Francis is described as a slim Black man, and police consider him armed and dangerous.
Around 3:30 AM on July 23, police officers were called to the ATL nightclub on Highway 7 West in Vaughan. There, they found three people shot after a fight. Tousin Amos Arowoshigbi, 25, and Shepwezi Momah, 22, died from their injuries, and a 20-year-old woman was taken to the hospital but is in stable condition.
Police say the two men were security guards, while the woman was a nightclub waitress, adding that anyone who sees Francis should not approach him but immediately call the police.
