Axios website said that the United States has demanded Israel to stop targeting the civilian police accompanying humanitarian aid in Gaza, so as not to increase security chaos and the looting of aid for the benefit of gangs.

Axios quoted three American and Israeli officials saying that the administration of US President Joe Biden requested Israel to stop the attacks targeting the civilian police run by Hamas that accompany aid trucks to the Gaza Strip, warning that the complete collapse of law and order leads to a significant worsening of the humanitarian crisis in the sector.

According to sources, Israeli air raids have led to the martyrdom of 11 police officers who were working on securing cargo transport during the past weeks in the border city of Rafah alone.

US officials say they are increasingly concerned that "Gaza is turning into Mogadishu," the capital of Somalia, which was previously considered the most dangerous and lawless city in the world, according to the BBC network.

The Gaza Strip has been subjected for about 5 months to a bloody war and almost complete destruction of the sector where 2.3 million people live, an Israeli siege, and a shortage of essential materials needed for life.

Israeli bombing also causes the martyrdom and injury of dozens daily, while hundreds of thousands have been forced to flee their homes to the Rafah area, where more than one million people live in harsh humanitarian conditions.
