With the beginning of the new year and amidst the busy events, I was drawn to challenges that I have not addressed before, and I found that it is necessary to talk about them today, as the diaspora is always characterized by great and often unexpected challenges that distance us from our need for the required human warmth in our expatriate life.

I thought the concept of character assassination was only related to political circles in which most of these factions settle their scores with their opponents through the assassination of their characters, politically, to exclude and remove them. But I discovered that this matter has extended beyond that, as this reprehensible aggressive behavior has spread among ordinary individuals who are attracted to the idea of assassinating the character of those who differ with them through offensive practices aimed at harshly and mercilessly eliminating the opponent socially and professionally, instead of intellectually or professionally dialoguing and avoiding personalization. Differences in opinions and positions are healthy, and should not be a reason for unethical conflict. These people use various unethical tools to destroy the reputation of others, whether individuals or institutions, and various social media platforms and paid media have contributed to facilitating and accelerating this task, providing spaces for those eager to control to avoid accountability and practicing integrity and transparency...

When the decision is made by an individual or a group to assassinate the character of a certain opponent, they use unclean tools and deadly psychological weapons to destroy him. They target his honesty, financial integrity, and question his credibility, morals, and motives by directing false accusations against him, spreading misleading information about him, and sometimes using half-truths supplemented with a bundle of lies and fabricated and unverified stories to defame him and strike his reputation at its core. All this is intended to assassinate his character and destroy his social image, and then ensure his isolation from his society and distort him socially and professionally.

In the diaspora, some of us are exposed to many of these strange and fierce situations by those addicted to controlling others. We find ourselves in reality in a place completely different from the country of origin, as we came to the diaspora from various environments, each of us carrying a different culture. Therefore, the nature of inherited behavior dominates many of us, whether they are right or wrong in their assessments dealing with their relationships with others. However, many deal without conscience and without caring about the necessities and requirements of developing themselves and changing their behaviors by legitimate ways in line with the nature of the diaspora and its humanitarian, professional, and societal requirements in order to provide a healthy, harmonious climate among all segments of society.

To get into the essence of the topic, we must clarify the concept of character assassination to the esteemed reader, which we can define as the deliberate and continuous effort exerted by some within a shared satanic common denominator that binds them together to destroy the reputation and credibility of a targeted person for illogical motives. This applies to groups and individuals alike.

Who is the targeted group in character assassination operations?!

Usually, the targets are successful people in their lives and work, or influential individuals in their community, and these, of course, pose a direct threat to the enemies of truth, freedom, and success.

There is a famous saying about this matter: "They try to kill the truth, and when they fail to achieve that, they try to assassinate the voice of truth," especially for those who roar like lions to defend their principles and beliefs, or the integrity and transparency that do not appeal to the wicked and lawless who thrive in the swamp of falsifying facts.

This is exactly what individuals, provided with many resources to elevate humanity, do instead: they track and attempt the psychological and moral assassination of anyone they believe poses a danger not security-wise but intellectually, for fear of exposing their true nature, especially since they appear in society differently from their reality.

Unfortunately, a group of people may unite on a single goal through evil intellectual perceptions that appeal to them, making them harmonize with each other even if they come from different cultural backgrounds without verifying the accuracy of what they receive, as if they live on another planet where malice is planted in them to meet together around one goal and one thought, which is to assassinate the character of anyone who differs with them in thought and behavior. Not only that, sometimes they agree to assassinate the character of any successful person to hinder his progress and extinguish his star without any logical reason except the abnormal desire to get rid of anyone who disagrees with them or takes a path opposite to theirs.

I know that these models are not strange, nor are their malicious attempts new, but they become more active when they encounter someone who reminds them of a deficiency within themselves and their wild desire to pounce on the opportunity available to them to seize the resources they have, even if they are not rightfully theirs, just to monopolize their disposition. And if there is an honest partner among them who demands transparency, they agree among themselves to exclude and destroy him.

These people are much smaller than the situations that require men capable of creating events and positively influencing others and making a qualitative and constructive shift. They resort to conspiring among themselves as a completely manipulated group that obeys the orders of its satanic thought, united by a deep hatred to cancel reason and the desire to control others and divert their efforts to serve what they seek from passing their fraud and deception. This is in addition to unprecedented intellectual vulgarity representing a blatant and scandalous reflection of upbringing and environmental upbringing, often reflecting a distorted ideological thought or an accumulated deprivation state crowded by evil desires outside the context of sound human thought.

This brings us to one fact: attempts to target and assassinate the character will not stop here or there, as they are confined within the ongoing conflict between truth and falsehood, good and evil, the established and the transient, origin and scattered dust. Therefore, all attempts of falsehood and evil usually fail and are defeated, even if they score a round here or there, but they surely have lost, are losing, and will lose because there is simply a firm and clear truth with no room for doubt: froth goes away dry, but what benefits people remains on the earth.

From here I can say that there is no doubt that character assassination is one of the most serious crimes, as it kills the targeted person more than once because it affects his moral reputation, professional reputation, and sometimes may destroy the reputation of the entire family. Therefore, these reckless people with human reputations must be held accountable and laws enacted to punish them so that this detestable phenomenon does not spread, and to protect members of society, especially the successful ones, from the enemies of success who use their energies to fail others and know how to cheat the laws.

Finally: As we welcome our new year, I can only express my sincere wishes that this year be the year of harmony and convergence among people, a year in which the evil thinking of some people recedes to be replaced by sound and constructive thinking, a year in which everyone looks positively, lovingly, and with a holistic view that serves the public interest, not individual and personal interest and illusory agendas destined to disappear and do not serve the shared living situation in the diaspora, a year in which visions and goals meet to gather around the idea of building humanity and planting hope in it to overcome all the difficulties facing it and reduce its eagerness towards investing its energies and what may result in constructive societal, professional, and humanitarian participation at all levels.
