Alberta Health Care announced that compensations and salaries are scheduled to be paid to about 696 employees in Alberta Health Services, and some are scheduled to receive $5,000; this is in exchange for work interruptions during the spread of the Corona pandemic.
This decision was issued after the recent settlement between the Health Sciences Association of Alberta, HSAA – AHS
The recommendations indicated that AHS should pay a leave amounting to $5,000, for each person who was forced to work during the outbreak of the Coronavirus, and also for employees who were attending their work.
They had to pay for Coronavirus tests; they will be entitled to full compensation for all test costs, and the amount has not been specified; it will vary according to each case. 1,650 part-time and full-time employees at AHS who were not fully vaccinated were placed on unpaid leave, and later, after returning to work, they were forced to pay for their test costs, which had to be obtained to return to work.
