The Secretary-General of Hezbollah in Lebanon, Hassan Nasrallah, said that Lebanon is facing critical days in the file of maritime border demarcation with the “Israeli enemy.”

Nasrallah pointed out in a televised speech today, Saturday, broadcast by local media, that “the official receipt by Lebanon of the proposal to address the file is a very important step, coming after months of political, field, and media struggle.”

Earlier today, both Lebanese President Michel Aoun, Prime Minister Najib Mikati, and Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri received from the American Ambassador Dorothy Shea, an American proposal regarding the maritime border demarcation with Israel.

Nasrallah said, “We are facing critical days on this file, and during the coming days, it will become clear what position the officials in the state will take regarding this file, and we hope that the endings will be good.”

He continued, “If a good result is reached, it will open great - economically - and promising horizons for the Lebanese people.”

Nasrallah added, “We have a treasure, and we cannot wait for outside aid amid the suffering of many countries from difficult conditions, including European countries.”

The statements of the Lebanese officials did not mention details about the content of the message, but Mikati had previously announced, on September 22, achieving “tangible progress” in the border demarcation negotiations.
