WestJet celebrates its leap year birthday by offering thousands of cheap flights.

The airline is turning twenty-eight today but is technically only seven years old as its birthday comes once every four years.

The company is giving travelers gifts by offering 1000 flights priced at $7 to any of the destinations it flies to.

This includes favorite Canadian areas such as Toronto, Vancouver, and Halifax, as well as major tourist centers like Seoul, Reykjavik, and Tokyo.

The carrier gives an example of a trip from Calgary to Paris, where if you are one of the lucky winners, the total round trip would be approximately $156.35.

According to WestJet, 100 eligible people will win base fares of $7 (plus third-party fees and taxes) from Canada to anywhere the carrier flies.

Another 900 eligible winners will win base fares of $7 from Canada to WestJet destinations excluding Europe and Asia.

Finally, 28 lucky WestJet Rewards members also have a chance to win $700 from WestJet.

The airline is also offering a 20% discount on base fares to all destinations using the discount code 4C4N7KP until 11:59 PM today.
