Ottawa Police arrested four people at a high school in Ottawa on Monday after receiving a call that a student at the school might have a gun.
The police said that no weapon was found, they reduced their presence at the school and the lockdown was lifted.
Ottawa Police said they were called to the "scene" at 400 Donald Street at 9:45 a.m. on Monday.
A spokesperson for the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board said the lockdown was imposed to support a police investigation into reports that a student might have a weapon. He added: "Students and staff were secured in their classrooms and the lockdown was lifted after about an hour," and that no student or staff was injured. It is unclear whether the arrested individuals were students.
