A high-rise building in Moscow has come under drone attacks for the second time in two days, according to the city's mayor, Sergey Sobyanin.

He stated that several drones were shot down at night, but one hit a tower in the Moscow City complex that was attacked on Sunday.

The glass facade of the building was damaged, but no injuries were reported.

While the Russian Ministry of Defense accuses Ukraine of being responsible for the attacks, Kyiv typically refrains from commenting.

It also did not comment on a Russian statement that claimed on Tuesday that three Ukrainian drone boats were destroyed after attempting to attack a Russian ship.

The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that its defenses shot down two other Ukrainian drones in other areas of Moscow, claiming it thwarted a "terrorist attack."

Russian news agencies reported that Vnukovo Airport in Moscow was temporarily closed.

Russia has repeatedly accused Ukraine of drone attacks on its territory in recent months, including an attack on the Kremlin, the official residence of President Vladimir Putin, in May.

Although Ukraine has not claimed responsibility for specific incidents, President Volodymyr Zelensky said that attacks on Russian soil are "inevitable, a natural and just act."

About 350 people worked to rescue those trapped due to the recent strikes on Kryvyi Rih.

In other developments:

- A student housing facility was damaged in a Russian night attack on Kharkiv, according to the mayor of the northeastern Ukrainian city.

- Six people were killed, including a 10-year-old girl, and 75 others were injured in a Russian missile attack on the city of Kryvyi Rih in central Ukraine, according to local officials.

- Three people were killed on Monday in a Ukrainian shelling of the city of Donetsk, which is occupied by Russia, according to local officials appointed by Moscow.

The United Nations has recorded over 25,000 civilian casualties among Ukrainians since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February last year, but the actual number is likely to be much higher.

In the southern Kherson region, the head of President Zelensky's office, Andriy Yermak, reported that four people were killed in what local officials described as "relentless Russian shelling."

A drone attack was reported in the Russian border region of Bryansk, where Governor Alexander Bogomaz stated that a police station was hit.
