The "Times of Israel" reported that Hamas has issued a statement announcing that it has released American citizens – a mother and her daughter – "for humanitarian reasons."

This step comes following efforts made by Qatar "to prove to the American people and the world that the claims of President Joe Biden and his fascist administration are false and baseless," as stated by the spokesperson for Hamas.

Hamas did not specify the identities of the hostages it released, nor was there any Israeli confirmation of this step or footage of the hostages' release.

On the other hand, Channel 12 Hebrew reported from "Israeli sources" confirming Hamas's announcement that the movement released a mother and her daughter who were held in Gaza.

Channel 12 indicated that they will be transferred to the International Red Cross, which will then take them to Egypt and then to Israel.

The network states that the transfer process is expected to take place soon, but no specific timeline is known at this time.

Channel 12 reported that Israeli authorities have contacted the family of the mother and daughter, who were released by Hamas, and that representatives of the family are on their way to their home to provide an update on their situation.
