The United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres expressed his concern that "lawlessness" in the Gaza Strip is preventing the distribution of humanitarian aid in the besieged area.
Guterres stated that "the complete breakdown of law within Gaza makes it extremely difficult to distribute aid within the region."
He mentioned that looting of supplies and relief trucks complicates the distribution process.
Guterres called for "there must be a mechanism that ensures a minimum level of law and order to allow the distribution process to take place."
The UN Secretary-General reiterated his call for an immediate ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.
