Palestinian Minister of Health Dr. Mai Al-Kaila announced today, Wednesday, the cessation of the Turkish Friendship Hospital in the Gaza Strip from operating, due to its bombing by the occupation forces yesterday and the day before, and the complete depletion of its fuel. It is the only hospital designated for treating cancer patients in the Gaza Strip, making the total number of hospitals stopped from operating due to bombing and fuel depletion 16 out of 35.

The minister stated in a statement that the lives of 70 cancer patients inside the hospital are in serious danger, as the number of cancer patients in the Gaza Strip is about 2000 patients, living in catastrophic health conditions due to the ongoing Israeli aggression on the strip and the displacement of a large number.

She also added that the Al-Shifa Medical Complex will stop working within less than 24 hours due to fuel depletion, as the hospital is currently operating only emergency, surgery, kidney, intensive care, and neonatal incubator departments, and it operates at a capacity far exceeding its limits and with a staff covering less than 30% of the necessary requirements.

The number of citizens secured from the occupation aggression at the Al-Shifa Medical Complex and its surroundings is about 50,000 citizens, as the hospital's vicinity is subjected to repeated Israeli shelling.

The minister renewed urgent appeals to stop the Israeli aggression and allow the entry of necessary medicines and medical supplies, as well as allowing the entry of volunteer medical teams and the evacuation of the wounded for treatment.
