The Syrian television announced, early this morning on Monday, that the Syrian air defenses are responding to hostile targets in the vicinity of the capital, and Israel had intensified its airstrikes against what it claims are Iranian targets in Syria.
The bombardment resulted in the death of 4 Syrian soldiers and the injury of 4 others due to the Israeli aggression on some points in the vicinity of the city of (Damascus), adding that the Syrian air defenses intercepted the missiles and shot down some of them.
For his part, the director of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, based in (London), Rami Abdul Rahman, stated that the death toll from the Israeli bombardment in the vicinity of Damascus has risen to 13 dead and wounded.
Abdul Rahman pointed out, in an interview with the "Al-Arabiya Al-Hadath" news channel, that the Israeli bombardment on the vicinity of Damascus resulted in the death of 6 soldiers, including 4 from the Syrian army and 2 from Iranian militias, in addition to the injury of 7 soldiers.
He clarified that storage facilities for Iranian militias in the north of (Damascus) were completely destroyed as a result of the Israeli targeting, along with other targetings near Damascus International Airport.
