It seems that Toronto residents will finally have to replace their beach umbrellas with regular ones as the summer-like fall weather comes to an end.
A week of standard warm weather in Toronto is expected to be followed by a period of rainy and cold days starting with a change in the weather this evening, Thursday.
There will also be a mix of sun and clouds in the city today with temperatures rising to 26 degrees Celsius, but there is a 40 percent chance of rain tonight, as we have plenty of clouds around us.
Bill Coulter, a meteorologist at CP24, said: "It is still mostly cloudy, very warm, and very humid." A warm day. However, this is a transitional day."
Temperatures are expected to reach 21 degrees Celsius on Friday with a 40 percent chance of rain, followed by a 60 percent chance of rain on Saturday with a maximum temperature of only 15 degrees Celsius.
After that, high temperatures are expected to drop to 12 degrees Celsius on Sunday and Monday, with a likelihood of more rain throughout Tuesday.
Coulter added: "This evening, in fact, starting around five o'clock or so, there is a risk of some rain, with heavy rainfall in the mid-evening continuing until early tomorrow, likely ending around seven in the morning."
"Then we will see a return of some sunshine but it will be a completely different air mass that will push out the heat and humidity, gradually step by step, and by Sunday and Monday you will need a thicker jacket, especially overnight when we sit in one slot."
The weather next week is far from the conditions the city experienced last week. Toronto broke temperature records on Tuesday and Wednesday, reaching 29 degrees Celsius and 27.5 degrees Celsius, respectively.
Maximum temperatures at this time of year are around 16 or 17 degrees Celsius, which is more than 10 degrees cooler.
