The Canadian dollar rose against the US dollar today, Thursday, and the yield on government bonds increased.
The Canadian dollar was trading at 1.367 Canadian dollars per dollar, or 73.15 US cents, after trading in a range of 1.3657 to 1.3686.
Yields on Canadian government bonds for 10 years increased by 2.8 basis points to 3.382%, while the yield on comparable US government bonds rose to 4.1885%.
US crude oil futures for August increased by 82 cents to $81.58 a barrel today, Thursday.
