The Yemeni community in Montreal, Canada participated in the annual Orientalis Festival organized by a group of diaspora communities from August 10 to August 13, 2023. A distinguished team of loyal and sincere Yemeni youth endeavored to ensure the success of this celebration. The Yemeni tent appeared vibrant with diversity in showcasing Yemeni folklore and heritage, along with historical storytelling panels about Yemen's civilization. A group of youth aimed to introduce visitors to Yemeni life and culture, making the exhibition a visually appealing attraction for the audience. In addition to the creative performance of the dance and music troupe led by the group's leader, Suleiman Dawood and his team. It was striking to see the uniqueness of the Yemeni tent, which drew a large crowd of Canadians and individuals from other nationalities gathering around the Yemeni celebration, expressing their admiration and engagement with Yemeni art. The honor of the celebration was the Ambassador of Yemen to Canada, Mr. Jamal Al-Silal, and the academic professor Mustafa Bahran, who came to attend. They were welcomed by some symbols of the Yemeni community in Montreal, including Mr. Saleh Al-Shibwani, Abdallah Al-Khazindar, and Imad Al-Misbah. In another scene, the Yemeni woman made a vibrant presence at the celebration by offering hospitality and showcasing Yemeni attire, and participating in documenting through registration and photography. The presence of the event coordinator, Professor Seher Al-Bu'dani, contributed significantly to the success of the celebration, underscoring her determination to raise Yemen's name high among nations, and valuing the role of the Yemeni community in integrating with Canadian society.
