Membership in BRICS for the new members will begin on January 1, 2024.
There is consensus on the first phase of expanding BRICS.
We are ready to seek fair economic solutions.
We invite international organizations to reach a global agreement on financial policies.
We emphasize the necessity of resolving crises peacefully.
For his part, Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva said:

The total GDP has now risen to 7.2 percent of the world's total GDP.
The BRICS group now includes 46 percent of the world's population.
The doors of BRICS will remain open for new member inclusions.
We have addressed what the standard procedures are for new countries to join, and BRICS will be a driver for a new global system.

Following that, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated via video:

I welcome the new members to the BRICS group and we will continue to expand membership.
I would like to emphasize the issues of dealing with a common currency in addition to local currencies.
We want to ensure constructive and effective cooperation with the new members.
We will work with everyone who wants to work with us through our various programs.
After Putin, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said:

This three-day summit has had very positive results.
The expansion of the BRICS group is an important decision.
India has always believed in the necessity of expanding the group.
Adding new members will strengthen BRICS and give new momentum to our joint efforts.
India has deep and long-standing relationships with all the countries that joined.
In conclusion, Chinese President Xi Jinping said:

All BRICS countries have significant influence and bear the responsibility of promoting peace.
The expansion of BRICS membership is a historic event.
