Futures contracts for US stock indices recorded a significant decline ahead of the opening of trading today, Tuesday, in light of continued concerns about tightening monetary policy at a very strong pace in the coming period, and a strong rise in bond yields, which weakened demand for US stocks.

During pre-market trading, Dow Jones Industrial Average futures fell by 0.01% and recorded about 29,199 points. Meanwhile, S&P 500 futures fell by 0.23% and recorded about 3,652 points. The Nasdaq Composite index also fell by 0.64% and recorded about 11,261 points.

US stock indices on the Wall Street exchange had closed lower at the end of trading the day before yesterday, Monday, as the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell by about 329.60 points or by a percentage to close at 29,260.81 points. The S&P 500 index also fell by about 38.19 points to 3,655 points. Also, the Nasdaq Composite index declined by 0.60% to reach 10,802 points.
