Ontario Police remind drivers to renew their license plates. While Ontario canceled the license plate renewal fee again in March, the actual renewal process is still required.
The province said that dropping these fees will save drivers $120 annually.
In a video, OPP Sergeant Kerry Schmidt warned motorists that they could face a hefty fine if they ignore their license plate renewal notice, noting that some drivers in Ontario have been fined $500 for not doing so.
You can renew either by submitting your application online, by mail, or by visiting one of the ServiceOntario offices.
To renew your license plate, you will need the license plate number, insurance company name, odometer reading, and payment of all outstanding fines or fees.
