Quebec Provincial Police said Sunday that its officers have arrested a 20-year-old man listed as one of the province's most wanted suspects.
Alexander Durant-Artiles was wanted in connection with the murder of 21-year-old Youssef Khalil on March 25.
The SQ said in a press release that Durand-Artiles was arrested with the help of the Montreal Police (SPVM) on Saturday night in the Hochelaga neighborhood.
The SQ also said: "The suspect is expected to appear before the Joliette court via telephone today and tomorrow to face a number of charges, including murder, kidnapping, forcible confinement, and uttering threats."
Khalil was seriously injured around 4 a.m. on Bernières Street in the municipality off the eastern tip of Montreal Island where he was taken to hospital and later died.
